Unabomber is an American domestic terrorist and former mathematics professor. He killed three people in a nationwide bombing protesting the advancement of technology.
Born Theodore John Kaczynski on May 22, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. With an IQ of 167, he went on to study mathematics in Harvard. He earned his Master’s and Doctorate at the University of Michigan and settled to work with the university. By 1968, Ted was an assistant professor and was on his way to a thriving career, but he resigned suddenly in 1969 and moved to a remote cabin outside Lincoln, Montana.
He started bombing in 1978, by mailing a series of increasingly sophisticated bombs to his victims. By 1996, he was arrested 40,000 handwritten journal pages that included bomb-making experiments were found in his cabin.
Ted was sentenced to eight life sentences without the possibility of parole at ADX Florence.

Unabomber is still serving out his sentence, although there are reports was suffering from terminal cancer. The prison authority has not confirmed or denied this report and the type of cancer has not been disclosed.
