The Zodiac Killer is the nickname of a serial killer, who terrorized people in the 1960s. The killings have been the most famous unsolved case and have a cult-like following on how to solve the case.

There are five confirmed dead victims of the zodiac killer but it is believed the total number of victims could be in the twenties while the zodiac killer himself claimed to have killed 37 victims.

The serial killer originated the name Zodiac in a series of letters and cards mailed to the regional newspaper.

The Zodiac Killer confirmed Murders

Investigators were able to confirm seven victims of the Zodiac killer but luckily two survived.

David Arthur and Betty Lou were shot and killed on December 20, 1968, Darlene Elizabeth Ferrin was killed on July 4, 1969, Cecelia Ann Shepard was stabbed on September 27, 1969, and Paul Lee was shot on October 11, 1969.

The letters finally stopped in 1974, the writer praised the movie The Exorcist, he also wrote a symbol that has not been explained to date.

The identity of the Zodiac Killer has never been found but it seems unlikely he would still be alive. All the major suspects like Arthur Leigh Allen (who died in 1992) and Gary Francis Poste (who died in 2018) are dead.
