Dennis Lynn Rader is an American serial killer known by the name “BTK” (bind, torture, kill). He is known for detailing the accounts of the murders in a letter to the media.
Dennis Lynn Rader was born on March 9, 1945 in Kansas. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. After service, he married Paula Dietz on May 22, 1971 and they had two children together Kerri and Brian. His daughter Kerri, described him as a “wonderful father”.
Rader was described as “normal, polite, and well-mannered” by his neighbors, although he showed more of his sinister side when he was a dogcatcher and compliance officer in Park City like killing a dog for no reason.
Rader was arrested while driving near his home on February 25, 2005, and charged with 10 counts of first degree murder. He is known for killing four members of the Otero family in 1974.
