Tim Conway was an American actor, comedian, writer, and director. He appeared in over 100 TV shows, series, and films. He is best known for being a regular cast member on the TV comedy The Carol Burnett Show and voicing the Barnacle Boy in the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Conway was born on December 15, 1933, to an Irish father. His full name was Thomas Daniel Conway but he changed his name to “Tim” at the beginning of his career. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in television and radio. In 1961, Conway got the role of a regular cast on ABC’s The Steve Allen Show.

Following the success of his first sitcom, Conway became a national sensation and launched his show, The Tim Conway Show in 1970, however, it lasted for a few months. In 1975, he teamed up with Carol Burnett and became a regular on The Carol Burnett Show which earned him four Emmys. Conway went on to appear in other projects including, The Simpsons, Hercules, Lloyd in Space, and The New Scooby-Doo Movies.
