Wayne started playing at clubs and theaters with his brother Jerry and named themselves the Rascals in Rhythm. They auditioned for television shows without success. They were finally noticed by a booking agent and booked them to perform on The Jackie Gleason Show. It was not long when Wayne became a solo artist, he released “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast” and it sold a million copies.
Wayne was known for performing in Las Vegas, by 1994, he was performing 25,000 shows a year. In 1999, he signed a 10 years deal with the Stardust Resort. He continued to perform in Vegas, in 2019, he celebrated 60 years on stage.
