He and his two younger brothers were raised in an apartment by their single mother, which was believed to have enough room for everyone.
Due to his frequent involvement in small-time crimes and conflicts at school, Merritt referred to himself as the “difficult child” of the three.
He was frequently involved, which was the reason for this. Merritt was detained for a year in a juvenile correctional facility at the age of 15 after being apprehended for one of his crimes.
