Titanic was the largest ship at the time she entered service and was under the command of Captain Edward Smith, who went down with the ship.
The ship carried some of the wealthiest people in the world, it also carried hundreds of emigrants from Great Britain and Ireland, Scandinavia, and elsewhere throughout Europe, who were seeking a new life in the United States and Canada but sadly most of them never made it.
The ship had a reputation of being “unsinkable” due to its advanced safety features.

Sadly, there is no Titanic survivor still alive, however, Millvina Dean was the last Titanic survivor, she was two months in 1912 when the ship sank. She was also the youngest passenger aboard the sunken ship but Millvina died on May 31, 2009, at the age of 97.
