She was born in Arizona and it is said she is a descendant of Benjamin Franklin. Eden started performing at the age of ten in church, then she started singing in nightclubs for $10. She was elected Miss San Francisco in 1951 after high school.
Eden made her first film appearance in the 1960 movie, From the Terrace. She was the lead actress in A Private’s Affair and starred with Elvis Presley in the movie Flaming Star.
In 1964, she was approached by Sidney Sheldon to play Jeanie fantasy sitcom I Dream of Jeannie. The show aired on NBC for five years.
