Barry White was an American singer and songwriter. He is known for his smooth baritone voice and his hits like “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe” and “You’re the First, the Last, My Everything”. This musician is a two-time Grammy Award winner.

Barry was born Barry Eugene Carter on September 12, 1944, in Galveston, Texas. He started playing the piano at a young age and started performing at the age of eleven. Barry started singing professionally in 1960 as part of the group “The Upfronts.” Throughout the 1960s, he had moderate success in his music until when he worked with an all-girls group, Love Unlimited.

Barry launched his solo career with the release of “I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby” which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B chart and stayed there for 40 weeks. He also released “Never, Never Gonna Give You Up”, and “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe” and they all peaked at No. 1 on the charts.
