Daniel Lugo is a convicted murder and member of the Sun Gym Gang which was active in Miami in the 1990s. Daniel worked as the manager of Sun Gym, a bodybuilder hangout (hence the gang name). The gang was responsible for the kidnap and extortion of Marc Schiller and murders of Frank Griga and Krisztina Furton.
In 1994, Daniel met up with Noel Doorbal, Stevenson Pierre and John Mese, they planned to kidnap, extort and kill Marc Schiller. They tried seven times but failed, they eventually succeeded. They kidnapped Marc and got him to transfer all his assets to them, however their plan to kill him failed and Marc survived.
In 1995, they planned to kidnap and extort Hungarian businessman Frank Griga and his girlfriend but the plan went bad and the couple were killed early.
Daniel and his accomplices were arrested and tried, Lugo was sentenced to death for murders of Griga and Krisztina.

Daniel Lugo is still on death row, he has exhausted his appeal and is waiting for the day the sentence will be executed. Doorbal was sentenced to death as well but it was overturned in 2017.
