Dunsin Oyekan is the lone child of Gbadebo Oyekan, a pastor who helped start the Pentecostal movement in Nigeria. At the age of 10, he began singing and playing the guitar. He went to Baptist Model High School, Federal Government College, and Airforce Nursery and Primary School in Ilorin.
He then continued on to the University of Ilorin in Kwara State to study industrial chemistry.

Dunsin Oyekan is very fine and so much alive after he and his team narrowly avoided fatality in a horrifying traffic accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on their way to minister at a program.
The mishap happened on September 3, 2022. While the other crew members escaped unharmed, one of them was hurt.
