In 1964, Jones went solo and released his single “It’s Not Unusual”, which became an international hit. Based on this success, he was selected to record the soundtrack for the James Bond movie Thunderball. By the end of the 1960s, he was an international sensation.
In 1979, Jones made his acting debut in Pleasure Cove, however, the show was not picked by the ABC network. In 1989, he got his Hollywood Walk of Fame star. He became a feature in sitcoms like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Simpsons.
