Top Showbiz Critic and Analyst, David Mawuli who doubles up as a Blogger has said that music group, Praye did nothing to deserve nominations at VGMA 2019.
The nominations for Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 is out and Praye was exempted from the “Best Group of the Year” category and the trio are very disappointed.
They have called the VGMA board names saying that they’re not genuine among other unprintable names.
Praye claims they deserve a nomination at least in the “Best Group Category” and that Charter House (organizers of VGMA) denying them the chance is simple a sabotage as they’ve been doing over the years.
Well, David Mawuli sharing his opinion on this issue said that Praye as a group has no point to be going about making unnecessary noise because they did nothing to deserve a nomination.
Read Mawuli’s full submission below:
“We know that some deserving artistes were snubbed at the year’s VGMA but Praye wasn’t snubbed. They did nothing to merit a nod.
The fact the we have fewer groups doesn’t mean the board should nominate any group kɛkɛ. Otherwise Dark Suburb, Gallaxy, Chogu Boys, et al will equally be nominated.
It won’t be competitive — just bɔla nominations.
Let’s be honest, this is not the Praye we used to vibe with. They are very weak.
They should rather invest the back and forth energy into their craft and find new ways of adapting to the new system.”
