Leading global Islamic scholar and motivational speaker born and raised in Zimbabwe, Dr Mufti Ismail Menk is advising all to be positive thinkers because we are what we think.
In his recent sermon via his Twitter account, Mufti Menk noted that feeding the brain with positive thoughts brings it into reality.
He explained that just as the food we consume on daily basis being important, the same applies to our mental diet.
“You are what you feed your mind. Today we suffer from TMI! Too much information or information overload. Remember, your mental diet is just as important as your food intake. Thoughts are powerful food for your mind. What you believe, you become. So think positive thoughts!”
A few comments gathered beneath his post reads:
‘Train your mind to see the good in everything. Positivity is a choice. The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. Remember the best part of your life is every morning you have a new opportunity to become a happier version of yourself.’
‘Beware the negativity that keeps popping up in your mind. At times, this is related to a setback you’ve had. You need to counter it & don’t worry what people may think.
They’ll talk anyway. You can’t stop them. What u can do is to focus on the positive and goodness around you!’
‘Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people. Stay positive in every situation and everything you do, never stop trying, have faith don’t stop due to failure. May Allah guide & help us all to do good deeds.’
‘Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. The mind is everything. What you think, you become.Your mind is so powerful. It is your key to health, success and happiness. You don’t become what you want, you become what you believe.’
‘Absolutely true! Positive thinking requires constant practice, it’s always the best thing to look at the positive side in every situation, and train our mind to be the powerhouse of positivity and optimism.’
