American football tight end Spencer Webb passed away on July 13, 2022. He played collegiate football for the Oregon Ducks.

Webb was raised in the Californian city of Sacramento. At Christian Brothers High School, where he played football, he finished the season with 61 receptions for 1,063 yards and 23 touchdowns.

He was selected by The Sacramento Bee as a senior to the first team of the state and the all-metro team.

Overall, he was a four-star recruit, and he was rated as California’s top tight end by both 247Sports and ESPN.

He was ranked 254th overall and among the top 30 prospects from California in ESPN300’s tight end rankings.

Webb passed suddenly on July 13, 2022, as a result of a brain injury he got when cliff diving close to Triangle Lake. When he died, he was 22 years old.

According to a statement from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, “At roughly 2:30 pm, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office responded to the rock slides only a short distance west of Triangle Lake after getting a report of an injured person.

Deputies learned that a 22-year-old male who was having fun in the neighbourhood had collapsed and struck his head when they arrived.

He was not revived by onlookers or the arriving paramedics.

When members of the Lane County Sheriff Search and Rescue team arrived to assist in getting him back to the house, he was about 100 yards down a steep trail.
