Juice Wrld was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is known to be widely popular in the demo rap and SoundCloud rap genres.

He was born Jarad Anthony Higgins on December 2, 1998, in Chicago to a conservative single mother. He started listening to music from a young age and was hugely influenced by Billy Idol, Blink-182, and Black Sabbath.

Juice recorded his first single “Forever” in 2015 and released his debut full-length EP, 9 9 9, in 2017, he caught the attention of fellow rapper Waka Flocka Flame and got signed to the label, Grade A Productions.

He soon gained popularity with the single “All Girls Are the Same” which was on Billboard Hot 100.

The single opened doors to collaborations with notable artists like Seezyn on the track “Hide” which was a soundtrack for the film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Juice struggled with drugs and anxiety. He had agreed to go to a rehabilitation center but never went.

Juice Wrld died on December 8, 2019, from a high level of oxycodone and codeine in his system. His death sent shocks through the spines of fans and other rap artists since his friend and fellow rapper, XXXTentacion died a few months earlier.
