Born Stevland Hardaway Morris in 1950. He was born six weeks premature which resulted in retinopathy of prematurity, this caused him to become blind. Stevie played the piano, harmonica and drums as a child. At the age of 11, Stevie was signed to Motown Records and he was given the name “Little Stevie Wonder”.
Stevie recorded his first hit, Fingertips at the age of 12. The song was No. 1 on Billboard 100 making him the youngest artist ever to top the chart. In 1972, Stevie released his major hit Superstition. The song topped charts and earned him three Grammy awards.
Stevie went on to release hits like Isn’t She Lovely, Let’s Get Serious, Happy Birthday and I Just Called to Say I Love You. Wonder was very outspoken against apartheid in South Africa. He has collaborated with top names like John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen

In 2019, Stevie Wonder had to get a kidney transplant, he recovered and is doing well. He is planning to go on tour although the days have not been scheduled yet. He is 72 years strong and we hope to get more songs from this legend.
